Taking care of your jewellery
At Lorianna The Label, each piece is crafted from solid metals like brass, sterling silver and solid 14ct gold — made to be worn and loved daily. Tarnishing or darkening over time is completely normal and part of how natural metals evolve. To help maintain your jewelry’s natural beauty, every purchase includes a polishing pad. Simply give your piece a gentle polish when needed, and store it in a dry, safe place when not in use. The more you wear your jewelry, the more it shines and reflects your life, beautifully. As with anything handmade, a little care goes a long way.
care by Metal
Sterling Silver
Naturally antibacterial, hypoallergenic, and known for its clean, luminous finish, sterling silver is a favorite for sensitive skin and everyday wear. It’s durable, bright, and develops a lovely patina with time, polish occasionally to keep it sparkling.
14k Solid Gold
We work with rich yellow 14k gold for its perfect balance of strength and beauty. Softer than silver but more durable than 18k or 24k, 14k holds its shine and resists scratches, making it ideal for daily wear in water, sun, and life.
Brass
We use yellow brass, a bold, beautiful metal celebrated for its golden hue, durability, and symbolism. Some associate brass with healing or courage, and we love it for its everyday strength, shine and affordability.
Brass is an alloy containing copper, so you may occasionally notice a faint green mark where your skin reacts with the metal. This reaction is totally harmless, varies by skin type, and washes off easily. It doesn’t affect the quality of the piece, but if you prefer to avoid this possibility, we recommend choosing sterling silver or 14k gold instead.
To keep brass looking its best, rinse with fresh water after ocean swims or workouts, dry well, and avoid contact with hand sanitizer, alcohol, or heavily scented products.
Perfume, Lotions & Alcohol-Based Products
Avoid spraying perfumes, applying scented lotions, or using hand sanitizers directly on your jewelry, especially gold and silver — as these can dull the surface or affect the finish over time.
